Obey Your Parents Motto

Chromolithograph Motto

In the late 19th century, handmade and commercially produced mottoes were framed and displayed in homes. “Obey your Parents” is a reference to the 2nd of the Ten Commandments and a prominent maxim in any religion. This is one in a series of motto prints by L. Prang and Company.
