This motto references a New Testament Bible verse: Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:35
This example of a late 19th century perforated cardboard motto is one of the prized possessions of the author. I found it in a Scottish charity shop/thrift store for just 2 pounds!
